Dan is the curator of a project that utilises any wall or tunnel, giving people who frequently pass by the site to take collective ownership of an area by turning it into something special. The first of these projects was the wall outside his old studio on Stokes Croft 2012-2014. Facilitating the embellishment of each of the 224 bricks in this ordinary brick wall with artwork by 224 different artists created a lasting cultural landmark, a collaboration of people with varied backgrounds and creative experience.

As the project developed, Dan worked with Macclesfield City Council to decorate the Park Street underpass, which highlighted the diversity of this small town. 3000 people became involved in this project and produced meaningful pieces, re-framing the site as a permanent gallery, a celebration of Macclesfield and its people.
