Dan Petley is a prolific, independent international artist whose work is an embodiment of an eclectic yet focused ensemble of abilities. Throughout his productive career he has mainly focused on creating paintings that are displayed as relics; exploring the progressive cultural role of established masterpieces, an embodiment of his relationship with the history of painting. The intention of his Numinous series (2012-present) is to reconcile paintings as objects with divine power by meditating on their devolved roles, as public and private property, album covers and souvenirs.
He is also well known for producing large scale self funded public art assignments, including the ongoing Brick Project and Moon Temple cycles. To find out more about Dan then follow this link to the About Page
